2026 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games
On June 20, 2016 The City of Calgary council voted to endorse a Bid Exploration for the 2026 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games. The Bid Exploration Committee will oversee an in-depth study on the economic, social and cultural opportunities for the City which will inform the development of a long-term renewal plan for Calgary’s 1988 legacy facilities -- regardless of whether an Olympic bid is undertaken.
