Calgary Music Spotlight: Trey Mills
SPOTLIGHT on Trey Mills
Born and raised in Owen Sound Ontario, Trey Mills lived in Toronto for several years before making Calgary his home in 2008. He records and produces his own music, devotes a generous amount of time producing other Artists, and is the founder of Calgary Music Awards. His Christmas song ‘Every Day is Christmas Day’ has received airplay on major radio stations across Canada, while his song ‘Saving Me’ reached number 1 on various countdowns. Despite his varied musical background, his performance style follows in the great tradition of Canadian singer-songwriters, singing about love, loss and the great Canadian landscape.
Trey has produced Grammy nominated Canadian Brass, penned songs and produced for Grammy winning singer Melanie Fiona, Juno nominated X-Quisite, Zoe Bentley, and MTV's Nicole Holness. He has lent his talent to the soundtracks of popular television shows, has performed on the songwriter’s stage at the Big Valley Jamboree, sung the national anthems for the Toronto Blue Jays, and toured across Canada.
