"I was eight years old during the Olympics in 1988. And it's pretty cool being a kid and getting to be a part of such a great cultural and sport atmosphere in your city.

I watched the torch run into downtown. Me and my sisters, we all had our little Petro Canada candle torches. We stood on the street and watched the Olympic flame run past us and that was pretty amazing."
