Xplorer Program for Kids
Hey Kids! Have fun while discovering Banff National Park! Pick up your activity booklet at the Banff or Lake Louise Visitor Centre, at various campgrounds, or during an evening theatre program. Complete six activities and receive a certificate and souvenir. Have your whole family participate with you! Happy exploring!
Banff Park Museum National Historic Site
Ever stare down a grizzly bear? Taste the wild by exploring the oldest natural history museum in Western Canada. Self guided tours, family friendly interpretive programs, special events, 5 000 specimens, reading room, discovery room with hands on displays and special event programming.
Cave and Basin National Historic Site
No trip to Banff National Park is complete without seeing the birthplace of Canada's National Parks. Families can participate in interactive programs and exhibits. Start your visit with a Discovery Tour or a Cave Lantern Tour where the light from your lantern casts shadows on ancient grotto walls.
Looking for an evening of entertainment while enjoying your stay in Banff National Park? Join Parks Canada’s interpreters and singing wardens as they share their stories and fun facts about the nature and history of Canada’s first national park. From late June to early September, evening programs are offered at the Wolf’s Den Indoor Theatre and the Raven’s Nest Outdoor Theatre (Tunnel Mountain Campground), and a campfire chat happens at Two Jack Lakeside Camp¬ground. All of programs are for adults and kids alike, come and join us!
